BiO(organic) Farming Strategy explained

-strategy comprised of a specific farming technique that assumes a comprehensive soil analysis coupled with little to no tillage&crop rotation strategies(using cover crops), plowing/disking +seeding on the same passage of the mechanized machine, and using only certified organic fertilizers/pests treatments as organic farming inputs !

  • Advantages of this strategy :

lower fuel costs for some of the conventional farming processes are skipped altogether …

lower water usage costs for the cover crops provide an unique moisture layer

little to no fertilizer costs for the main purpose of the cover crops is to increase the soil nutrients

  • Disadvantages of this strategy:

higher costs of analysis and proper supervision/assessment over time of inputs and outputs
